Here at COSTA Leather Handbags our passion is to make design rich, optimum quality leather handbags at an affordable price. We strive to differentiate ourselves from mass produced assembly line bags. We achieve this through our selection of superior raw materials and handmade craftsmanship.
Raw Materials
We use an extremely high grade of leather and hardware. We have chosen the two countries in the world best known for leather, Italy and Argentina. We use fine Italian lambskin and Pebbled Argentinean cowhide in our bags - both give the bag a buttery soft luxurious feel. We use 18k gold plated brass and steel hardware and world renowned YKK Polished Metallic Zippers. Our bags are lined with suede leather for a rich feel inside as well as out.
Workmanship
Our artisans take these select raw materials and handcraft them into a designer quality handbag, one by one. You will notice the difference between our bags and that of mass produced ones. We are certain that you and your customers will agree once they have had the chance to experience our products.
STOCK ORDER
We maintain a certain amount of inventory for each style in our collection. If you would like to order from our stock we can ship almost immediately. Your may order 1 of each particular style as long as we have the bag in inventory. You must also meet the minimum requirement of $500 USD per order.
CUSTOM ORDER
You can choose from the leathers that we have in stock and have any of our styles produced in the leather of your choice. Because of the custom nature of this service delivery time is approximately 4 to 5 weeks and depending on the time of year can be up to 8 weeks. For a custom order the minimum is 20 bags total. You can choose a maximum of 5 styles and up to 2 different colors per style.
Private Label Clients
Any of our styles can be customized with your logo. We generally brand the logo on the interior of the bag. We can also provide customized hangtags and dust covers to upgrade the presentation of your bags.
The fees for these services are as follows.
Logo Embossing
- Art Set up Fee - $125 one time fee
- Custom logo embossing - $2 per unit

Shipping
We use FEDEX for all medium size export needs. The average shipping price per bags to the United States is approximately $5 per bag. This can be reduced as the size of orders increases. Shipping takes approximately 2 to 3 days with this service. Please be aware that the Client is responsible for all Customs Duties and Fees coming into there respective country. The average fee per bag entering into the US is approximately $3 to $5 per bag.
Returns
All regular priced, unworn merchandise returned within 10 days from the date of receipt of shipment will be exchanged for the same value of product or full refund. We do not refund shipping costs. Your account will be credited once product is received and deemed to be in proper condition.
Repairs
At Costa, we pride ourselves on making a quality product. We are recognized for offering well designed and crafted merchandise to meet our high standards. It is our intention that our warranty be as highly regarded as our products. Examples of qualified manufacturing defects include problems with zipper construction, loose stitching, hardware or lining. We will repair at our cost any product with legitimate manufacturers defect for up to 3 months from the date of purchase (proof of purchase required.)
Please keep in mind that with any leather accessory, wear and tear will occur with normal use. It should be expected that over time leather may fade or spot and that edges and corners may show signs of wear. This is a natural and normal process and is not covered by the Costa warranty. Normal wear and tear is not a defect. Worn out zippers and zippers damaged by improper use are not considered defective. Regrettably, we also cannot guarantee or replace products damaged by neglect or mishandling, including exposure to moisture, severe tears in leather or lining and ink marks or stains. We are happy to recommend solutions for improving your bag’s appearance should natural wear and tear diminish its condition.
Please note that many types of stains and marks are untreatable. This includes, but is not limited to, stains caused by: ink, cosmetics, food stains, oils, body / hand moisturizers, hand sanitizing cleansers or perfumes.
