Every one of our ladies leather handbags is assembled by hand. Many of the components are woven or braided by the hands our our skilled artisans. This helps to maintain the level of quality and beauty in every one of our satchels, hobos, clutch purses, totes, flaps, and large leather handbags.
Our Straps
As you may notice, many of our bags have braided leather straps. We hand braid round, flat and traditional three strand braids, which has become the signature of many of our COSTA leather handbags.
Our Edges
When you receive your handbag, you'll notice that the vast majority of the edges throughout the piece are turned or folded as opposed to raw. This is a much more time consuming and laborious process. The end result is a very clean, polished looking handbag. Many other handbag manufacturers use inferior, painted, raw edge construction. We hope you'll appreciate the difference in our handbags.
Woven Leather
Many of our ladies' handbags are accented with inter-woven leather pieces. These are all cut and woven strictly by hand. Only by taking the time necessary can you achieve this technique properly. This adds contrast and beauty to sometimes otherwise simple pieces.
Whipstiching
As you browse our web site and view the different types of handbags, you may notice that many straps, pocket lids or accent pieces are whipstiched using various different handstiching techniques. This also adds depth and detail to an otherwise simple strap.
